Tickets to the East Gippsland Footy Show featuring former AFL superstar Brendan Fevola, legendary entertainer Mike Brady and other soon-to-be-announced special guests are now on sale.
The event coincides with the Alexander Memorial Match between Lindenow and Wy Yung at Lindenow on June 8, where there will be a marquee set-up for patrons who buy a VIP pass to the game.
The VIP Marquee will run between 12:30pm and 4:30pm with the East Gippsland Footy Show to be held afterwards at the Bairnsdale Sporting and Convention Centre from 6:30pm.
Fevola will take the field in the senior match with Brady to provide pre-game entertainment for marquee guests as well as a rendition of ‘Up There Cazaly’ for the crowd before the bounce.
Lindenow football director and event manager, David Dunkley, said that there were still plenty of tickets left for local football and netball followers.
“This event has really gathered momentum over the past month and I guess it shows what can be achieved when a small group of volunteers decide to put on a event for the whole East Gippsland football and netball community,” Dunkley said.
“We really believe that it is going to be a fantastic day for all supporters and I’m sure that Brendan and Mike will provide plenty of entertainment for the crowd.
“There’s already been a strong demand for tickets from our own supporters and we’ve also had terrific support from local sponsors, in particular the Bairnsdale Sporting and Convention Centre.
“There are still a few more things in the pipeline which we will announce in coming weeks but I’d advise anyone interested in attending either function to book a ticket as soon as possible.”
VIP Marquee passes are $80 and include game entry, entertainment, food, drinks, commemorative stubby holder and a ticket in the lucky draw. East Gippsland Footy Show tickets are $30 and include venue entry, entertainment a buffet dinner and opportunity to bid at the memorabilia auction.
Tickets can be booked through David Dunkley on 0418 598 750.
